St Nicholas Priory, founded in 1087, is Exeter’s oldest building. It’s steeped in history and offers a unique and inspiring venue for any kind of meeting.
We are conveniently located in the heart of the city on Mint Lane with walking access from Fore Street or Bartholomew Street West. Mary Arches Car Park is a 5 minute walk, or for those travelling by pubic transport, Exeter Central Station is just a 10 minute walk. The coach station is a 15 minute walk with many buses stopping on the High Street.
We have two meetings spaces, one in the West Wing of the Priory and a dedicated meeting room in the North Wing at No. 21 The Mint.
Both are ideal for small conferences, meetings, workshops and training sessions. The rooms have capacity for 12-50 people depending on the layout – lecture, boardroom or classroom style.
In addition, our peaceful garden provides a space for activities, a quiet space to meditate under our magnificent magnolia tree or just an area to stretch your legs and get a breath of fresh air.

Delegate packages
Standard delegate package
We offer full and half-day packages. A full day runs from 8.30am – 5.30pm and a half-day is a 4 hour session and each includes:
- Room hire
- AV equipment hire
- Flipchart
- Notepads and pens
- Tea/coffee
- Working lunch from our local caterers (various options available)

If you would prefer to ‘build your own’ day tailored to your needs, you can hire the West Wing or No. 21 The Mint and equipment separately. Please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.
We are please to offer a reduced rate for community groups. Please contact us to see if your group qualifies for a discounted rate.

Hire period minimum of 3 hours. Please be aware the hire period includes set up and breakdown.

Why not offer your delegates something extra? We offer private guided tours, priced at £5 per person. Our knowledgeable guide will take your guests on a tour where they’ll learn more about this historic building. Tours can be added to delegate packages.
