In this illustrated talk, Rosemary reveals some of the secrets of a wealthy woman’s wardrobe and explores how fashions changed for both men and women during the sixteenth century. Clothing opens up discussion on a whole range of topics – from laundry, health and hygiene, to international trade. There will be plenty of time for questions.

Rosemary Griggs is a writer, researcher and speaker who loves bringing Devon’s sixteenth century past to life. Her extensive research into Devon families who made their mark in the county and beyond underpins her writing and her talks.
