DESCRIPTION:A virtual walk around the sights and sounds of the city on VE D
 ay and immediately afterwards. This talk captures an extraordinary moment 
 in Exeter’s history. Residents were still dealing with the aftermath of 
 wartime destruction whilst at the same time planning for the future. Illus
 trated by astonishing archive photographs and there will even be a couple 
 of songs!\n\nDoors open at 12pm for 12:30 start.\n\nTea and Coffee include
 d.\n\nDirections\nSt Nicholas Priory is on Mint Lane with walking access f
 rom Fore Street or Bartholomew Street West.\n\nThe nearest car park is Mar
 y Arches Street\, which is a five-minute walk. Exeter Central railway st
 ation is a ten-minute walk. The bus station is a 15-minute walk with many
  buses stopping on the High Street which is ten minutes away.\n\nAccess\nU
 nfortunately\, due to the nature of this historic building\, there is no w
 heelchair access for our upstairs rooms.\n\nFacilities\nOur outdoor toilet
