DESCRIPTION:In 1464 Maud (Matilda) Courtenay made her last will and testame
 nt\, her will set out her charitable bequests\, while the testament detail
 ed her funeral arrangements. Maud died three years later\, and she was bur
 ied in the church of St Nicholas Priory\, Exeter. These two documents tell
  us about her death and give some hints about her character\, but her life
  is less well documented.\nThis talk by Lynda Pidgeon will look at her dea
 th and attempt to throw some light on her life.\nTicket price includes com
 plimentary drinks and refreshments.\n\nDoors open at 6pm for 6:30 start.\n
 \nDirections\nSt Nicholas Priory is on Mint Lane with walking access from 
 Fore Street or Bartholomew Street West.\n\nThe nearest car park is Mary Ar
 ches Street\, which is a five-minute walk. Exeter Central railway statio
 n is a ten-minute walk. The bus station is a 15-minute walk with many bus
 es stopping on the High Street which is ten minutes away.\n\nAccess\nUnfor
 tunately\, due to the nature of this historic building\, there is no wheel
