 ing our usual Sunday opening hours for a free guided tour of the priory ce
 ntred around significant women in our history\, from the Norman\, Tudor an
 d Victorian period.\n\nDo come and join us to soak up the history of Exete
 r’s oldest building and this quiet corner of the city.\n\nTOURS AT: 1:00
  PM &amp\; 2:30 PM\n\nFounded by William the Conqueror in 1087\, St Nichol
 as Priory was home to Benedictine monks for over 400 years and is the olde
 st building in Exeter. In 1536\, like other monasteries\, it was closed an
 d the remains became the home of wealthy Tudor merchants.\n\nDirections: S
 t Nicholas Priory is in Mint Lane with walking access from Fore Street or 
 Bartholomew Street West.\nThe nearest car park is Mary Arches Street (5 mi
 ns). Parking at Smythen Street and Harlequin Shopping Centre is also avail
 able. Exeter Central railway station (10 mins). The bus station is a 15-mi
 nute walk away with many buses stopping on the High Street (1o mins).\n\nA
 ccess: Unfortunately\, only the ground floor of our building is wheelchair
 -accessible.\n\nFacilities: Accessible loos and nappy-changing facilities.
