DESCRIPTION:Come and join us at St Nicholas Priory as we celebrate the Fest
 ival of Archaeology.\nDo you know that long before the Priory was built in
  1087\, the site was part of the Roman military fortress of the Second Aug
 ustan Legion and later Roman civilian town? Or that the Priory buildings t
 hat still stand are only a small part of the original medieval site\, the 
 extent of which was revealed through excavations in the 1970s onwards?\nLe

 Directions\nSt Nicholas Priory is on Mint Lane with walking access from Fo
 re Street or Bartholomew Street West.\n\nThe nearest car park is Mary Arch
 es Street\, which is a five-minute walk. Exeter Central railway station 
 is a ten-minute walk. The bus station is a 15-minute walk with many buses
  stopping on the High Street which is ten minutes away.\n\nAccess\nUnfortu
 nately\, due to the nature of this historic building\, there is no wheelch
 air access for our upstairs rooms.\n\nFacilities\nOur outdoor toilet block
