DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nSt Nicholas Priory’s volunteer team invites you wa
 rmly to support their fundraiser!\nEnjoy an evening of piano and poetry\, 
 with local singer/songwriter Nicole Tate Hall\, who will be entertaining u
 s with some of her songs\,  telling us how she left London and settled in
  Exeter. This will be  interspersed with some old poems about London\, so
 me written as far  back as the 17th century\, read by Lorraine Arrell\, w
 ho will also be  reading her poem about Exeter\, entitled ‘Dark of the 
 City’. \n\nNicole is a singer songwriter who performs rock-folk-pop mel
 odies on piano. She has written music since she was a kid\, and her latest
  song themes are about leaving the modern grind behind. She is  delighted
  to be playing her first gig in Exeter at the Priory since  moving here r
 ecently from her hometown of London\, where she  performed numerous shows
  as a singer/actress/budding busker. Her  influences are Kate Bush\, Led 
 Zeppelin and Fairport Convention. \n\nTickets £10.00\, refreshments inclu
 ded.\n\nSt Nicholas Priory: Founded by William the Conqueror in 1087\, St 
 Nicholas Priory was home to Benedictine monks for over 400 years and is th
 e oldest building in Exeter. In 1536\, like other monasteries\, it was clo
 sed and the remains became the home of wealthy Tudor merchants.\n\nDirecti
 ons: St Nicholas Priory is in Mint Lane with walking access from Fore Stre
 et or Bartholomew Street West.\nThe nearest car park is Mary Arches Street
  (5 mins). Parking at Smythen Street and Harlequin Shopping Centre is also
  available. Exeter Central railway station (10 mins). The bus station is a
  15-minute walk away with many buses stopping on the High Street (1o mins)
 .\n\nAccess: Unfortunately\, only the ground floor of our building is whee
 lchair-accessible.\n\nFacilities: Accessible loos and nappy-changing facil
